caring for carers

Carers need care, too. Patients’ partners may spend anxious days of overwork, snatching a few hours of troubled sleep. Then waking to worry whether they are doing the best they possibly can for their sick spouse, partner or family member ……………..

También las cuidadoras necesitan cuidados.    Los compañeros de los enfermos que van a fallecer pueden pasar días ansiosas

de demasiado trabajo ,   sólo obteniendo muy pocos horas durmiendo, llenos de inquietudes.

Respite care may take many forms - the patient may take a “holiday”, if not from the illness: there are many residential homes and nursing homes to choose from. Or the carer may be given a break. Even a few hours away from the house may help to take the pressure off.

If you need this sort of help, feel free to contact us on 96 5894240 or info@caringspain.com .

When a loved one has died carers may find the bereavement counselling site www.bellaonline.com helpful. There are more details of this service on the “useful websites” page.
